Melaleuca Enterprises coordinated the Schools Property Planning Competition 2016 on behalf of Northern Tablelands Local Land Services. A field day was held at a property near Guyra with 140 high school agriculture students undertaking workstation activities on soil, pastures, water quality, biodiversity, livestock health, pest animals and biosecurity. The students must prepare a property plan for the farm as part of the school curriculum and will be judged by Northern Tablelands Local Land Services with winners awarded at AgQuip.
